We're offering a nationally accredited Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher training program, designed to ensure that you  develop the confidence needed to share your passion for yoga and effectively lead others in their own personal yoga journey.

Learn how to teach to a variety of ages and abilities; and develop your ability to include crystal energy healing in your practice.
Enjoy the continuous support of your trainers and gain post-graduation Yoga Alliance CEU's through our Instructor Mentorship Program. Through this journey, you will deepen your knowledge of the practice of yoga, learn the art of creating meaningful and engaging asana sequences, learn to integrate yoga into your daily life, and develop the ability to share your passion for yoga with others.

Teacher Training
You will receive 14 onsite meetings with your trainers. The program is spread evenly over seven months allowing you time to absorb information, practice, and enjoy your training experience while maintaining daily commitments.

Anatomy & Physiology Fundamentals
Foundations Yoga 200 hour RYT teacher training program focuses on physical alignment and modifications to ensure safety and accommodate all practitioners. This program places a heavy emphasis on making yoga accessible for all people, especially those not often considered in mainstream western yoga culture.

Yoga Philosophy Exploration and Discussion
Yoga is a system that brings balance to one's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. We will study yogic philosophy, ancient texts and teachings to instill a deeper understanding of these ideas. You will explore how these philosophies can be implemented both on and off the mat to create greater feelings of ease and harmony.

Subtle Body Basics of Chakras and Doshas
Through the study of Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, and the chakra system; you will gain a deep understanding of the subtle energetic body. You will understand how the principles of Ayurveda, asana, pranayama, meditation and crystal healing impact the body’s energy and overall balance.

Asana Techniques and Teaching Methodology
In order to guide students safely through a yoga practice, it is important to have a strong foundation in technique. We will break down the most essential physical poses (asanas), breathing practices (pranayama), mantras and types of meditation.

Teaching Methodology and Practicum
Our program emphasizes teaching methodology to address all types of learners.  You will learn ways to communicate through demonstration, verbal cueing, and observation, as well as how to sequence classes that positively impact the practitioner.  At the end of this training, you will be prepared to lead a 75-minute yoga class.

This is a wonderful yoga studio! They offer classes for all levels , ages, and abilities. The restorative yoga classes , Reiki, and meditation offer a quiet peaceful place to unwind from the everyday challenges. Fundamentals, beginner, Yin, Hatha, vinyasa and power vinyasa are offered. I have tried almost all of the classes and find all of the instructors to be helpful for the beginning or the advanced student. They provide mats and all of the props needed to help you to succeed in your practice. If you live or work in the Madison area, don’t waste your time or money at any other yoga studio. This space has everything you need for whatever journey you’re on. Anna Major
Anna Major M.Ed., E-RYT 200, RYT 500, YACEP, Reiki II practitioner. Anna Major has a passion for learning, teaching, and yoga. She went from formal public school teaching to traveling India studying yoga, immersing herself in culture and self-discovery. Anna completed a 200-hour Ashtanga/Hatha training at Shiva Yoga Peeth in Rishikesh in 2015, followed by a 300-hour Ashtanga/Hatha training at Yogadarshanam in Mysore in 2017. Soon after, she participated in a 10-day vipassana meditation course in Kerala. In addition to being an E-RYT 200, Anna is a Reiki level II practitioner and a certified restorative yoga instructor. She has completed a Divine Sleep®️ Yoga Nidra training with Jennifer Reis and 75-hour trauma training through Embodied Philosophy. Anna believes in the power of yoga as a transformative and healing practice. She is excited to share her passion for yoga with everyone she meets and instill excitement in the process of self-discovery through yoga! 
Sandy Izsa
Sandra Izsa, owner of Foundations Yoga, is a licensed speech and language pathologist with over 20 years of experience in working with both children and adults. She is an advocate for all people and a believer in yoga’s ability to improve the quality of life for all individuals. Sandra is a RYT 200 instructor in affiliation with the yoga alliance, a Certified Crystal Healer and Reiki level III practitioner. She carries the following additional certifications: Restorative Yoga, Yoga for the Special Child Basic 1, ChildLight Yoga and Mindfulness for Children, Childlight Yoga and Mindfulness: Advanced Teaching Concepts and Childlight Yoga and Mindfulness for Teens and Tweens. It is her passion to bring yoga into the lives of those in her community and to help guide individuals in their journey toward improved health, happiness, and balance.
